What is a Timetable Generator?

A Timetable Generator is a visual scheduling tool that lets you organize classes, meetings, or daily routines into a structured weekly grid. It provides an intuitive interface to map out your week from Monday to Friday.

Why Use a Visual Schedule?

For students, teachers, and professionals, a visual grid makes it significantly easier to identify free blocks of time and avoid scheduling conflicts. Unlike complex digital calendar apps, a static timetable provides a persistent, easily readable overview of your recurring weekly commitments.

How to Create Your Timetable

Use the form to add a subject, select a day of the week, choose the start and end times, and pick a color label. Click "Add Class" to place the block onto the grid. Your schedule is saved automatically to your browser. Once your week is fully planned, click "Download PNG" to save an image of your timetable for printing or sharing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The timetable is automatically saved to your browser's localStorage every time you make a change (with a 500ms debounce to avoid excessive writes). When you revisit the page, your timetable is restored instantly. Your data is stored locally on your device only — nothing is sent to any server.

Click any cell to open the edit panel. You can change the subject, description, and color. To remove a cell's content, click the cell and then click "Clear Cell". To remove all cells at once, use the "Clear All" button at the top of the timetable.

The PNG export uses html2canvas, a JavaScript library that renders the timetable DOM element to an HTML5 Canvas and then exports it as a PNG file. The library is loaded dynamically only when you click "Export PNG", so it does not affect the initial page load speed.

Absolutely. The grid spans 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM in 30-minute increments across all 7 days of the week. You can use it for university class schedules, employee shift rosters, personal weekly planners, or project sprint planning. Export to CSV for spreadsheets or PNG for sharing.
